Who Do We Make Time For

If we make time to serve only ourselves we will never have enough time to meet all our own needs and we will never have all the things we want. If we seek the Lord first and serve Him, (and others) we will have more than enough time to serve ourselves and we will always have what we need. The Lord is infinitely more able to meet our needs than we are and He promises to meet them. By just speaking a word He can meet needs that we might work for all of our lives and never get.

Ephesians 3:20: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Matthew 6:33: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Philippians 2:3: Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Romans 12:10: Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

Selfishness does not pay. We pay a steep price for it. Selfishness is foolish and impractical. Serving God and others is wise and practical.

Philippians 4:19: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

James 1:17: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

God*s will is worth having and what He gives us is worth having. What we seek out of selfishness is not worth having. It is a waste of time. In fact, it wastes lives.

John 15:5: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Daniel 11:32: And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
